RUNWAY CLOSURE *UPDATE*:

Thanks to the quick and efficient work by our electrical contractor Colvico Inc., we are able to cancel the closure affecting Runway 6/24 for tomorrow and Thursday. Runway 2/20 will REMAIN CLOSED as planned through the duration of the LED lighting upgrade project. Airport staff is excited to return Runway 6/24 to service early as we complete the last phases of the project. As always please check NOTAMs prior to any operation for updates or changes.

RUNWAY CLOSURE NOTICE:

The runways at the Coeur d'Alene Airport will experience a closure period to facilitate construction. The project will be upgrading our Runway 2/20 edge lights and PAPI lights to new more efficient and reliable LED fixtures. Below is the schedule for the closures. If you have any questions, please contact airport staff. Please check NOTAMs for any changes to closures or scheduling.

RUNWAY 6/24: May 11th - May 13th DAILY 7:00am - 3:00pm
May 14th 7:00am - 7:00pm

CONSTRUCTION NOTICE:
Construction will be starting on the Atlas/D3 Hangar project. The project will include an extension of the D3 taxilane from the current location by the Skyhawk gate out to the west near Atlas Rd. There will be approximately 18 new condo style hangars constructed along the south edge of the taxilane extension. Phase 1 of the hangar construction includes 6 of the new suites which should be available for lease or sale by this summer. The project will also extend Skyhawk Ln all the way to Atlas Rd. We will be relocating the Skyhawk gate 17 to an Atlas Rd alignment like the Cessna gate. Airport staff will be closing Citation Ave at Atlas Rd at 3:00pm Friday the 27th for the duration of the project. Airport access to all hangars north of taxilane D2 will be through a marked detour route from the Cessna gate. Please see the attached map for the detour route. The 2025 Coeur d'Alene Aviation Airshow & Expo is finally here! Airport staff wanted to notify the community that on Friday the 27th and Saturday the 28th there will be multiple low flying and loud aircraft over the area. The aircraft will be flying non-standard approaches and making abrupt maneuvers as pilots practice and perform the show. This is normal airshow performance activity and will be conducted in the safest manner. We appreciate everyone's support in making this a fun and safe event for our community to enjoy.
