Sydney treated us pretty well! 🇦🇺

A big thank you to Freight & Trade Alliance (FTA) for a great ANZSL Conference. The panel discussions were a real highlight, and the gala dinner at NSW Parliament House was a great way to wrap up Thursday.

It was great catching up with customers, partners and industry experts over the two days.

The visit included a great evening catching up with Jay Cameron from Aero Africa, along with productive meetings with VDM Cargo Solutions and other local customers.

BMSB season is nearly here, but your cargo should not have to sit around waiting for the right treatment batch.

By keeping heat treatment within the same warehouse operation, AWA helps eligible cargo move from processing to treatment to loading without the usual detour. Treated and untreated cargo can also move within the same consolidation plan, helping protect the schedule and keep things moving.

With the FIFA World Cup in our backyard, we thought it fun to host a company-wide predictions contest with all of our colleagues.

We quickly came to know who were the hardcore soccer (or football, depending where you are from) fans and for six weeks, it dominated the general conversations in the office - just showing how powerful sports are at bringing people together.

A huge congratulations to Michelle Perez, who delivered an impressive run of predictions and moved ahead of Jesse Maugle in the final match to claim the top spot.

Honorable mentions go to Jeremy Stewart, Alex Knowles and Rocio Monge for keeping the competition close and exciting right until the end.

Thank you to everyone who took part and helped make the tournament even more memorable. It was a great reminder of how sport can connect different people, countries and cultures, both on and off the field.

We recently had some of the leaders in our business from Sydney, Houston, Chicago, Arkansas, Phoenix and Los Angeles get together for a midyear pulse check on our business.

To start off the discussions, we took the entire team out to partake in an Escape Room challenge - to really put our core initiatives of this year (dialogue, action, and recognition) to the test! Like many challenges in business, the hardest part was getting started. There were wrong turns, difficult puzzles and moments when the solution was not immediately clear.

With some collaboration (and a hint or two - thanks Richard 😉) we managed to escape with three seconds to spare!

Thank you to Graham, Robert, Brittany, Brock, Christian, Gerald, Richard and Jesse for the teamwork, fresh thinking and plenty of fun along the way.
