I recently read a post comparing travel advisors to coffee shops, and honestly? It stuck with me because it’s so true. ☕️

Sure, you can make coffee at home.
You can also piece together a vacation online at 11:47 PM while comparing 37 browser tabs and wondering if that “ocean view” room actually means you’ll see the ocean...or just a puddle in the parking lot after it rains. 😅

But there’s a reason people still return to their favorite coffee shop.

It’s the experience. The consistency. The comfort of knowing someone cares about getting it right.

That’s how I view travel planning.

Anyone can click “book now.” But thoughtfully crafting a vacation around a family’s needs, budget, personalities, sensory needs, food preferences, or helping match them with the right resort or cruise ship? That’s where the magic really happens.

I’ve watched a client’s face completely light up after realizing her dream Disney resort was actually within reach with the right planning and timing.

I’ve helped another mom discover there was a cruise ship packed with adventurous amenities...including bumper cars...and suddenly she could actually picture a vacation where everyone in the family, including her kids, would genuinely have the best time.

Those moments are my favorite part of what I do.

Because travel planning isn’t just about reserving a room or clicking confirm on a cruise. It’s about listening closely enough to understand what a family truly needs, then helping connect them with experiences they may not have even known existed.

Much like a really good cup of coffee, a well planned vacation should feel intentional. Comforting. Exciting. Smooth from start to finish.

Behind every itinerary I create are hours of research, planning, organizing, troubleshooting, and little details most people never even realize are being handled behind the scenes.

Because when the experience matters, expertise and service matter too. ✨

One thing I’ve learned as a travel planner is that this job is about so much more than simply “booking a trip.”

Anyone can click buttons and reserve a flight or hotel online. Some agents focus strictly on transactions. But for me, this business has always been rooted in service, relationships, and being someone my clients can truly lean on when life gets overwhelming.

Recently, after the passing of my father in law, there were so many moving pieces for our family. Flights to arrange. A hotel stay to coordinate. A rental car needed quickly. In the middle of grief and stress, having those details handled mattered more than I can explain.

It also made me realize that many people don’t think about using a Travel Specialist for moments like these. Most only associate us with vacations and fun trips, but having someone handle the logistics during stressful or emotional times can be such a relief.

It reminded me exactly why I care so deeply about what I do.

Yes, I’m here for the magical vacations, the countdowns, the castle photos, cruise sailaways, and the happy tears. But I’m also here during the difficult seasons too. When your mind is already carrying too much and you need someone dependable to quietly take a few things off your plate.

To me, great service is not just answering emails or making reservations. It’s anticipating needs, paying attention to details, and helping people feel supported, whether they’re traveling for celebration, rest, family, or unexpected circumstances.

Sometimes travel planning is about magic.
Sometimes it’s about showing up for the people you love.
Sometimes it’s simply about making a hard moment feel a little less heavy.

And I’m incredibly grateful I get to help people through all of it. ❤️

I spy with my little eye… delicious treats heading my clients’ way. 👀🍪

Walt Disney World recently changed their policy on deliveries from cottage bakers and third party treat providers, which honestly bummed me out a great deal. I loved surprising clients with goodies from Olivia's Kitchen waiting for them at their resort.

Thankfully, with shifting their business model some, shipping said “hold my cupcake.” 😄 Now I can still support a small business and send sweet surprises.

After months of planning, countdowns, dining reservations, and Lightning Lane strategy chats, they’re officially headed to Walt Disney World. I already know this trip is going to be filled with amazing memories, and I can’t wait to hear all about it when they get home.

🚨 Disney Cruise Deal You’ll Want to Know About 🚨

If a Disney Cruise has been sitting on your “maybe someday” list…this is a pretty solid reason to move it up.

For a limited time, kids can sail for 50% off on select sailings with Disney Cruise Line.

When you book by June 14, 2026, you can save 50% on up to 3 kids (17 and under) when they’re sailing with two full-fare guests in the same stateroom.

Sailings included are mostly October 2026 through March 2027, which is actually a great window if you’re trying to avoid peak crowds and pricing.

A couple things to keep in mind…these promo rooms are limited, and the best itineraries and staterooms tend to disappear first. Once they’re gone, Disney doesn’t restock them.

Just finished planning a stay at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge. This resort never fails to feel like Walt Disney World's best-kept secret.

Private balconies overlooking the savanna.
Morning coffee on the balcony with giraffes wandering by.*
Evenings that feel calm, immersive, and a little bit indulgent.

Animal Kingdom Lodge is one of those places that feels like a destination all on its own — romantic, atmospheric, and quietly luxurious while still being unmistakably Disney.

It’s proof that a Walt Disney World stay can feel elevated, intentional, and completely un-rushed.
