Cryoguard Corporation Monitoring thermal exposure during storage, handling, and shipping from -40°C to -150°C Our Cryoguard™ Thermal Exposure Indicators signal thermal exposure.

The indicators irreversibly change color from green to red when exposed to temperatures above pre-set signal temperatures. That means you get a reliable report of thermal exposure, even at temperatures as low as -150°C! With Cryoguard™ indicators, you can achieve quality assurance when shipping or storing frozen materials in liquid nitrogen, nitrogen v***r or dry ice. You'll never have to wonder w

hether your products got too warm during transit and/or customs inspections. Put Cryoguard™ indicators in freezer storage boxes to monitor thermal exposure during their routine removal from freezers and power outages when freezer control systems can no longer monitor your samples. Cryoguard™ indicators are used to monitor: cord blood, bone grafts, tissue samples, vaccines, s***m, embryos, eggs, adhesives and many other materials stored at or below -65°C. Try our product and join the other leading hospitals, fertility clinics, stem cell labs, universities and aerospace companies who rely on Cryoguard™ indicators to ensure proper handling of heat-sensitive materials.

With staff and resources being limited during this difficult time, it is important to verify that your fertility center is properly monitoring your precious specimens. Can your facility center prove that your specimens were never subjected to potentially damaging heat during shipping, storage or handling by their personnel? Is your fertility center sufficiently quality conscious to use Cryoguard™ Thermal Exposure Indicators to prove that the efficacy of your specimen was not compromised by heat?

Cryoguard Thermal Exposure Indicators provide a real time monitoring system that instantly alerts staff when cryopreserved materials may have been damaged by heat as required by the Standards for Tissue Banking of The American Association of Tissue Banks (AATB). The indicators, when green, show that your specimen was never subjected to potentially damaging heat during power failures and periods of coolant depletion.

Cryoguard™ Corporation’s Thermal Exposure Indicators have been monitoring heat sensitive materials for over 30 years. The indicators eliminate failure due to thermal exposure of specimens in a variety of medical procedures including artificial insemination and IVF. Cryoguard Thermal Exposure Indicators were originally developed to assure the quality of blood products being administered on the battle field. They are now widely used by tissue banks and manufacturers of heat sensitive materials to manage their cold chains. Cryoguard Thermal Exposure Indicators are currently used to verify that frozen eggs, s***m, cord blood, embryos, bone marrow, stem cells, bone grafts, blood plasma, vaccines, biologics, and premixed adhesives, were not thermally compromised during shipping, storage and handling by technicians and customs inspectors.

With a Cryoguard indicator monitoring your goods, you can tell in an instant (when the indicator is green) that the efficacy of your goods was not compromised by thermal exposure.

Use of Cryoguard Thermal Exposure Indicators might have reduced the heart breaking loss of frozen eggs caused by depletion of liquid nitrogen coolant at the Ahuja Medical Center Fertility Center in Cleveland - had the center been using Cryoguard™ Thermal Exposure Indicators in freezer boxes to identify and salvage specimens that escaped potentially damaging thermal exposure. Additionally CryoguardThermal Exposure Indicators might have provided an early warning of liquid nitrogen depletion when the alarm system was turned off at the Ahuja Medical Center.

With the success rate of IVF procedures being an average of only 25%, you want to make sure the facility doing the procedure is taking proper precautions to maximize the success of your costly procedure. Ask the facility if they are using our Cryoguard™ Thermal Exposure Indicators to preclude the use of heat damaged specimens in your procedure.

It is critical that tissue banks reevaluate procedures for monitoring heat sensitive samples, especially in light of events this year regarding the loss of frozen eggs and embryos caused by depletion of liquid nitrogen coolant at several large fertility centers.

It is important to continuously monitor IVF specimens.

Frozen eggs and s***m are stored in an ultra-low temperature freezer often in a liquid nitrogen storage tank. The temperature in a liquid nitrogen storage tank can vary from about -130°C at the top to -190°C at the bottom. If the liquid nitrogen level is not properly maintained, specimens near the top of the tank may rise well above -130°C. When multiple specimens are stored in a freezer box or on a freezer cane or rack, removal of each specimen transiently exposes the remaining specimens to a near ambient temperature. Using a Cryoguard Thermal Exposure Indicator in each freezer box and on each freezer cane or rack ensures when the indicator is green that the efficacy of your stored specimens was never thermally compromised by nitrogen depletion or transient exposure to elevated temperature.

Are you planning IVF? Did you know that the average success rate of IVF transfers resulting in live births from frozen embryos from non-donor eggs in patients less than 35 years old is only 48.7%. One source of failure of IVF may be thermal exposure of your specimen.

Is your reproductive service able to verify that your reproductive specimens never got too warm during shipping, handling, or storage?

If 30% of your facility’s failure rate were due to thermal exposure of specimens, elimination of that source of failure would increase your chance of success from 48.7% to 78.7%.

Cryoguard Thermal Exposure Indicators when green tell you in an instant that the efficacy of your specimen was not compromised by thermal exposure prior to your procedure.

Does your reproductive service continuously monitor your specimens with Cryoguard Thermal Exposure Indicators?

An associated press release on April 10, (http://www.cleveland.com/metro/index.ssf/2018/04/company_storage_tank_didnt_cau.html) Indicated that the alarm system was turned off and thus failed to warn personnel at the University fertility center in Cleveland that the specimens in their liquid nitrogen freezer had warmed up, and more than 4,000 eggs and embryos were ruined.
Although alarm systems can be turned off Cryoguard Thermal Exposure Indicators can’t be turned off.
The best way to be sure that your specimens haven’t been damaged by heat during storage, handling and shipping is to monitor them continuously with Cryoguard Thermal Exposure Indicators

Were you a victim of a failed attempt at in vitro fertilization or artificial insemination?
Was it your specimen or was it the way it was handled?
Does your fertilization service use a Cryoguard™ Thermal Exposure Indicator to verify that the efficacy of your specimen was never thermally compromised during shipping, handling or storage?

Cryoguard Thermal Exposure Indicators can eliminate failures in artificial insemination and in vitro fertilization due to thermal exposure - thereby increasing your chances of success.
