You may have noticed that we haven't been out yet this year and have possibly even heard some rumors. We would just like to address it and explain.

The sidewalk at the corner of Jefferson St. and State St. has been our primary location since Larry started the cart 35 years ago. They have now designated us as a food truck instead of a street vendor and City council ordinance will only permit food trucks to set up on private property. Which means they will no longer license us to set up on the sidewalk downtown. We know we could probably find somewhere else to set up but it just wouldn't be the same.

We appreciate all of your support and are incredibly thankful for your business over the years. Please continue to support all of the other restaurants and businesses downtown.

We will not be out the next 2 weeks and with the uncertainty of fall weather in Michigan, who know what will happen after that. We're not planning on this being our last week out for the year but do you really want to risk it and not stop by today?

It's a beautiful Saturday so come by and get a hotdog. We still have shirts on sale too. Stop by and buy the rest of our shirts so we can order more. Andy needs some that don't have ketchup and mustard on them.

Sure, you've probably been eating fair food all week and we're sorry we don't offer anything that's deep fried. But if you would like a quality hotdog, at a reasonable price, we'll be out today. Usual corner, usual times.
