This is #1 of 4 videos from this morning at the Haskell Airport where airport owner Eddie Reynolds coordinated to give Mr. Butch Wilson a flight in Eddie’s 182S Skylane. You can read my previous post for more information. Thanks to Carl Potter for flying!

There was a very special event at the Haskell Airport (2K9) this morning! Mr. Butch Wilson is a former pilot and light airplane owner and is in hospice care. He wanted to fly in an airplane one last time. The hospice facility manager contacted Eddie Reynolds, who owns the airport, and they worked it all out. Eddie donated the use of his 182S Skylane, and Carl Potter was the pilot. Two of Butch’s grandchildren rode along too. Carl flew him west and then north to Bixby and then did the Arkansas River run, following the river from Bixby to south of Haskell, before turning back north and landing back at Haskell after a ~30 minute flight! After landing and when asked if he was ready to get out of the airplane Butch said “not really”! Kind of sums it up! A HUGE shoutout to Eddie and Carl for making Butch’s day! These are the pics from the day. I will post videos in a separate post. Lee Burk
