The Cindy Schreiber-Beck Scholarship is doing well, but needs just $8,000 more to make it a fully endowed scholarship. Once endowed, a $1,000 scholarship in Cindy's name will be awarded annually to a ND student going into an aviation career, forever!

As the sun sets on a long day it is hard not to be greatfull and proud! While you probably can’t see it in the pictures, this area was devastated by a storm on Friday! It is absolutely amazing to watch the community come together to help one another as the area navigates the early days of this challenge. Many are still without power and most are just getting started on what will be months of not years to rebuild and recover what was lost. After flying around the area the last few days it is amazing that there weren’t more injuries. If you haven’t already please take a moment or two and say a prayer for all of the people that were affected by the storm tonight before you go to bed!

Tomorrow, the ND Aviation Hall of Fame inductee (and wonderful person) Cindy Schreiber-Beck gets laid to rest. To honor her memory and all the great things she did for aviation, her one time Hall of Fame Scholarship is being changed to an endowed scholarship fund that will award an annual scholarship in her name.

So sad and huge loss for North Dakota! Cindy helped the aviation industry immensely as one of the many ways she “gave back” to the state! She particularly helped the ag aviation industry, not only serving as the executive director of the North Dakota Agricultural Aviation Association forever, but advocating for youth and education! She tirelessly worked to give back to our industry! She will be missed by everyone at Right Way Ag. LLC.

We are saddened to share the news of the passing of Cindy Schreiber-Beck. Cindy dedicated 25 years of service as a North Dakota Aeronautics Commissioner, served in the North Dakota House of Representatives for 11 years, and was the Executive Director of the North Dakota Agricultural Aviation Association for nearly four decades.

Cindy approached every role she held with a steady hand and a genuine heart. Whether advancing aviation, supporting agriculture, or championing education and local initiatives, she brought thoughtful leadership and a deep sense of responsibility to the people of North Dakota.

We had the distinct honor of celebrating Cindy’s induction into the North Dakota Aviation Hall of Fame as our 50th inductee this past March at the Fly-ND Conference. It was a fitting tribute to a lifetime of leadership and impact, and the toast offered that evening feels all the more meaningful now as we reflect on the legacy she leaves behind:

To the Wright Brothers, whose vision and ingenuity carried us from the sands of Kitty Hawk to the skies above.
To our North Dakota Aviation Hall of Fame inductees, past and present, who have shaped the legacy of aviation in our state.
To our fallen heroes, those we have lost this past year—may their contributions and sacrifices never be forgotten.
To our aviation forefathers in North Dakota, whose pioneering spirit laid the foundation for the thriving aviation community we celebrate today.
And to Cindy, our 50th inductee into the North Dakota Aviation Hall of Fame. Cindy’s lifelong commitment to aviation—from agricultural advocacy to legislative leadership—has left a permanent mark on this industry. Her passion, innovation, and tireless service continue to inspire us all. May we carry her legacy forward with the same dedication and vision. To Cindy!

Matt Hovdenes owner of Right Way Ag. is once again one of the few CPAASS certified applicators in the nation. This certification is given to those that have demonstrated a dedication to education and professionalism within the aerial application industry. There are currently only 6 others to have achieved this certification in 2025.
