Driver Max had a long week and as sometimes happens in truck driver life, you run out of hours before you make it home. The ever resourceful Max knows the right people and was able to park close to home, so he can be with his wife and kids tonight.

Max went from WI to NY to IN back to WI and then ran up to Marathon WI today. He’s off to NY again next week and then KY, for another big week. We appreciate Max and his hard work, along with all the other great drivers we have out there living the truck driver lifestyle. Doing the hard work and making sacrifices.

Most people don’t understand what it takes to get the things we need to the places they need to be for us to enjoy them.

Our post is a little late but it was a beautiful day for a Memorial Day Parade in downtown Hartford yesterday.

A little trucking with dad to get the holiday weekend started. Sophia went with dad, Dan to Marathon WI and Richfield WI. Dad says she’s a pretty good helper but will need more training to build speed. We sent Sophia home with some straps to practice rolling in her free time (just kidding) 😁

Today Hartford Union High School District’s Gavin Sayles went on a job shadow ride a long with our driver Don.

The pair did some local work, going to Cudahy and Menomonee Falls. Gavin will be graduating in a couple weeks and is weighing his career choices. He said he enjoyed what he learned today and trucking could be in his future.

Gavin, you know where to find us when you get that CDL 😁

VERY long overdue post! One of our favorites, the great Wayne Fleischmann, officially retired (for the last time) this past March. Wayne originally joined Laufer Trucking in March of 2014 after making a career change. Wayne was always a team player with a positive attitude and we were sad (but happy for him!) when he retired in June of 2020.

We kept in touch and in 2023 Wayne saw a Facebook post that we were looking for drivers. Wayne reached out and volunteered to help us out on a part time basis. Wayne pulled us out of many a last minute pinches and always had our back during his part time stint with us. Wayne officially decided to completely retire this past March and we are now enjoying his updates as he travels the country with his lovely wife Nancy.

Thanks again Wayne, you will always be appreciated by the Laufer Team!
