Congratulations to Ryan Boldery (right) for completing his first solo on Wednesday August 27th under the guidance of Aidan Coleman. Well done guys and certainly a beautiful day for it. Ryan got the full treatment as on his first solo approach, he had buzzards to navigate around on short final, then on his second approach, someone let a bunch of balloons loose nearby that floated right in front of him over the runway. Good job Ryan for having that extra stress thrown at you and still coming through.

We are having an airport day/cookout/fly in Saturday Sept 6th at I67 Cincinnati West. All welcome, past, future and current students, pilots and friends. Free food and fellowship along with fuel (for those with airplanes) discounted $1.00 off of the normal price per gallon for the day. Ray from bop Aero has a new Cirrus Aircraft ownership program to share and is sponsoring BBQ lunch from City BBQ. Gary Ward with Wardway Fuel along with Whitewater Aviation is sponsoring traditional cookout menu items to share as well. Monaca Balash is setting up a kids activity center to give the kiddos something fun and constructive to do.

Thank you to Southwest Schools, Steve Sturgil, Dianna Sprague, and Andrew McCabe for bringing discovery flights to the engineering students for two schools in Harrison this spring. Whitewater Aviation fully supports working with the staff and students to help bring this together. Thanks also to Ray Chase, Jehan Ghouse and Andrew McCabe for helping with loaning us extra headsets for the students. All together we were able to provide 27 discovery flights.

A shout out to our own Aidan Coleman (on the right) brand new Certified Flight Instructor as of 2-7-2025 Aidan has worked in the office for us since COVID and has been chipping away at ratings working mostly with Steve Sturgil (not shown). We are all excited for Aidan as he has worked hard to accomplish this and will be joining Whitewater Aviation to teach people how to become a pilot. James Read (not shown) also worked with Aidan after Steve left for Florida back at Christmas to keep Aiden on track while awaiting the Check ride. Well done Aidan and I know that you will do well. Bill Christian (left) was the examiner on this Check Ride.
