GOOD WEEKEND!!! 🍀🏁

Saturday had Chuck behind the mic in Woodstock for ISP, and now it’s time to turn right around and get back to work!

The Minis are unloaded, the oil is changed in Angry, and the checklist is underway. We’ll get everything checked over, serviced, and loaded back up for a weekend stay in Paw Paw, Illinois, for the Paw Paw Nationals!

It’s going to be a busy 2-day weekend! Illini State Pullers will have classes hitting the track both days, wrapping up their 2026 season and crowning their season champions. Chuck will be behind the mic for the action, and Tri-County Pullers Inc. will also be on the track Labor Day Monday!

And Angry won’t be sitting on the sidelines! Chuck will be behind the mic and in the seat of Angry on Monday, so we’ll have him ready to hit the track and hopefully keep all the parts inside where they belong! 😂🍀

A little announcing, a little pulling, and a whole lot of time with our pulling family, that’s what makes for a pretty great Labor Day weekend!

Next stop… PAW PAW NATIONALS! 🍀🏁

UNFORTUNATELY, THINGS HAPPEN…

Woke up this morning to NO WATER in the house. 🤦‍♂️

Unfortunately, because of that we weren’t able to make it to the Back to School Touch-A-Truck event at Bureau Valley Grade School in Walnut tonight. Again, we apologize for not being there. We were looking forward to having the Minis there, answering questions, and letting the kids climb in and check them out.

However, after 10+ hours working on the water issue… WE HAVE WATER! What a pain. 😂

The Minis are cleaned up and ready for what’s next, but since we have a little time, they’ll get unloaded, fluids changed, and another good look-over before we hit the track again.

But just because the Minis aren’t pulling this weekend doesn’t mean we’re sitting at home…

🎙️ Saturday — Woodstock, Illinois
Chuck will be behind the mic at a fundraising event at the McHenry County Fairgrounds.

💨 Sunday — Cedar Rapids, Iowa
We’re switching gears and heading west to check out Shred Fest, a drifting event. Looking forward to spending the day around a different kind of horsepower, tire smoke, and motorsports!

FROM THE SHOP FLOOR — TUESDAY NIGHT EPISODE

Got The Leprechaun cleaned up and ready to load tonight.

Went to push The Angry Leprechaun out of the way and… SNAP! One of the steering shafts broke. 🤦‍♂️ Just my luck!

Thankfully, Menards had what I needed at 7:00 tonight, so back to the shop we went. New shaft is made, steering is back together, and BOTH Minis are loaded! ☘️☘️

Tomorrow we’re trading the pulling track for something a little different. We’ll be at the Bureau Valley Grade School in Walnut, Illinois for their Back-to-School Touch-A-Truck event from 5–7 PM!

We’ll have both Minis on display, answering questions, talking pulling, and letting the kids who want to climb in and sit behind the wheel. It’s always fun getting the Minis out in the community and giving everyone a chance to see them up close.

A broken steering shaft wasn’t on tonight’s list… but neither was a 7 PM Menards run. 😂

🏁 A LITTLE DIFFERENT KIND OF MOTORSPORTS THIS WEEKEND! 🏁

Most weekends you see us talking about Minirods, pulling tracks, and trying to keep all the parts where they belong. 😂

But this weekend we want to help promote something a little different and support our son and another side of the motorsports world — DRIFTING!

This weekend, August 29–30, is MIDWEST SHRED FEST at Hawkeye Downs in Cedar Rapids, Iowa!

If you’ve never been to a drifting event, here’s your chance to check it out. Lots of horsepower, tire smoke, cars sideways, and drivers putting on a show.

We’ve always said motorsports is motorsports. Whether you’re hooked to a pulling sled trying to go 300 feet or throwing a car sideways around a corner, there’s a whole lot of work that happens in the shop before anyone gets to have fun behind the wheel.

We’re proud to support our son and what he enjoys doing, and hopefully we can get a few of our pulling friends and followers to check out a different side of motorsports this weekend.

FROM THE SHOP… 🍀🔧

Angry is cleaned up! Man, what a mess a little rain mixed with limestone dust can make on a Mini! 😳 But he’s cleaned up and looking respectable again.

The tires are off The Leprechaun, and tomorrow we’ll get them cleaned up and get him looking presentable too.

We may have a little break from pulling, but that doesn’t mean the Minis are staying home!

Wednesday night we’ll be at Bureau Valley Grade School in Walnut, Illinois, for their Back to School Night Touch-a-Truck event! 🚜🏫

We’ll have both Minis on display, answering questions, talking pulling, and letting the kids and maybe a few big kids 😂 climb in and see what it’s like to sit behind the wheel of a Minirod.

This is another side of pulling that we really enjoy. Getting the Minis out into the community, meeting families, and hopefully getting a few youngsters interested in motorsports. 🍀

☘️ SUNDAY FUN DAY! ☘️

Side-by-side is washed, and the tires are off The Angry Leprechaun and washed. We don’t pressure wash the Minis, so there’s still going to be a little elbow grease needed to get Angry cleaned back up. The Leprechaun will be next. 😂

We have a week or so off from pulling, but that doesn’t mean things slow down for The Irish Pulling Team LLC!

This week we’ll be staying close to home and heading to Walnut, Illinois, with BOTH Minis for the BV Grade School Back to School Night Touch-a-Truck event!

This is another side of what we enjoy doing. The Minis might be built to go down the pulling track, but getting them out in the community, answering questions, letting the kids check them out, and hopefully getting a few future pulling fans excited about the sport is pretty darn cool too. ☘️

So The Leprechaun and Angry might not need to be track ready this week…but they definitely need to be kid-inspection ready! 😂

Back to the shop we go! 🔧☘️
