Glad that I live not far from Gettysburg Nat'l Military Park . Went on a short hike/tour of Culp's Hill today and learned about Union Gen. George Greene's brigade and the defense of the hill. #

1861 Manassas Virginia - first Battle of Manassas largest opening battle of the Civil War. Been to the battlefield many times. Great trails for walking, hiking or jogging.

163 years ago Battle of Gettysburg Confederate General McLaws's troops moved from the area of Black Horse tavern towards the main Confederate line as part of Longstreet's attack. Visited the area in 2025.
