Why Using a Travel Agent Is Worth It

There’s a common misconception that travel agents are just out to make money, but this couldn't be further from the truth. In reality, travel agents are dedicated to ensuring their clients’ trips go as smoothly as possible.

Some people might say, “But travel agents make a killing off commissions!” That’s not exactly true. In many cases, the prices we book are the same as what’s offered directly to the public. The difference is, instead of the travel company keeping all of the money you spend, they pay a portion of it to the agent as a commission for facilitating the booking.

So, what’s the real advantage of using a travel agent? When issues inevitably arise, we handle them on your behalf. Often, companies you’ve booked with might not be as helpful when problems crop up, but a travel agent will be there to step in and advocate for you.
