These wicked little thorns can turn a beautiful bike ride into a flat-tire nightmare!

Well, I didn’t expect my last video of the new Gulf Shores pedestrian bridge to stir up so many opinions! 😂

Some of y’all are excited, some are questioning the cost, and others are calling it a “bridge to nowhere.”

Today we’re getting a closer different view of the progress!

So, Gulf Shores locals… now that it’s taking shape, are you warming up to the idea or still not sold?

We rode out to see exactly where Phase 1 of the Fort Morgan Trail extension ends! 🚲🌲

The new 4.4-mile extension takes you from Plantation Boulevard all the way to a new trailhead near Fort Morgan Pizza.

That brings the Fort Morgan Trail to approximately 10.5 miles of paved trail!

And with 12 bridges winding through coastal wetlands, the ride getting there is pretty special, too.

🦐 Shrimp Festival Update + Amberjack Hours 🌧️

We’re sad to see the Annual National Shrimp Festival canceled this year due to the incoming hurricane, but the most important thing is keeping everyone safe. ❤️

🚲 Amberjack will be OPEN Thursday from 9 AM–6 PM for normal business hours.

If you currently have bikes out with us, we’re already working with customers individually to make arrangements that fit your travel plans—whether that means an early pickup or extending your rental until after the storm.

We’ll be closed Friday–Sunday and plan to reopen Monday.

Stay safe, Gulf Shores. We’ll see y’all on the trail when the weather clears! 🌴🚲
