Summer time is just around the corner, and I know everyone is ready to get out on the water. I have to make a post about my time in the shop starting this year because I get asked all the time. I will NOT be in the shop on Fridays this time of year. Im on the water doing service calls for my customers without trailers and transportation. I am trying to spread the word this year to kinda help out on some of the questions I get asked.
*YES I am open on Friday just not at the shop.
*NO you cannot drop your boat of without me here.
*NO I am not open on the weekend.
*If I have your boat and I am done with it you will receive a call by Wednesday to allow for a day of pickup on Thursday. Im just trying to help out on some of the questions I get asked. Hopefully this helps a little. Thank you to all of my customers and new ones to come. Im looking forward to helping as many people as I can get on the water and stay on the water to enjoy the season.

Customer was told he needed a new motor due to not doing a full diagnostic. Compression on this motor was 120 on all 3 cylinders. After digging deeper into the running issue, I found the reeds on # 2 and 3 cylinders to be way out of spec. Replaced Full Set with Boysen Reed Kit and engine is back to Full Throttle.

Another reason I tell people dont worry about the hrs used, just plan on doing a service once a year. It will save you in the long run from finding under you cowling looking like you just went down a dirt road.

Normally, I try to go on the water once a week to help customers without trailers, but due to the surge of calls and attempting to beat the water drop, I have spent almost two weeks on the water. I couldn't be more blessed with all my new and returning customers who have trusted me with their boating needs. I'm very thankful for all the calls and texts I have received, and unfortunately, I couldn't help everyone. Being the mechanic, parts guy, schedule guy, secretary, and everything in between, I feel I've been able to keep up. Thank you to everyone who shares my posts and tells people about my services. Had a great time at the Donovan Marine dealer show in Nashville. I got to see alot of people that I have been dealing with for years and was able to meet alot of new people. I always enjoy going to these meetings to see all the new products that are being released in the upcoming season. We also got to see Eddie Montgomery from Montgomery Gentry and I was able to personally talk to one of the original band members. I would not be able to attend the dealer show if it wasn't for all of my customers who have trusted me with servicing there boat. Thank you to my beautiful wife Ashlei Wood for supporting me, I am very grateful and look forward to what the future holds for Full Throttle Marine.

A fuel sample from a boat with a no start issue
