Imagine being 78 years old needing to get to a doctor’s appointment, the pharmacy, or even just the grocery store—yet having no reliable way to get there. For many of our neighbors, that isn’t imagination. It’s everyday reality. That’s exactly why Call-A-Ride of Greenwich exists.
Every weekday from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., our team of dedicated volunteer drivers uses our three insured cars to provide free, door-to-door transportation for seniors age 60 and older. We take them to medical appointments, on errands, and to any and all essential places around town—at no cost to them, ever.
As a 501(c)(3) we receive no local, state, or federal funding. We operate solely due to the generosity of people like you—individual donors and local businesses who believe that independence and dignity shouldn’t end when someone can no longer drive.
Last year, your support helped us complete over 7000 rides that kept seniors connected to the care and community they need. And the demand continues to rise, as unfortunately, do the costs of insurance, vehicle maintenance, and fuel.
