Schneider announced today that it has entered into a definitive agreement to purchase Dedicated truckload carrier, Cowan Systems, LLC. Based in Baltimore, Maryland, Cowan will operate as a wholly owned subsidiary of Schneider.

Combined with the organic growth success of our Dedicated service offering, this acquisition means Schneider approaches $2 billion in annual Dedicated contract revenues, and about 8,400 Dedicated tractors will be in service to our valued customer base.

Congratulations to Bob Schlender as he retires from Schneider after 47 amazing years of service! Bob’s leaders and colleagues joined him for a celebration at the Parts Distribution Center in Green Bay on his final day earlier this month, expressing the company's gratitude for his reliable contributions and wishing him well in retirement.

Bob (on right in first picture from left) started as a part-time associate at the Green Bay shop, quickly earning his way into a full-time technician role. After about a decade, he moved into an equipment processing role at the old McDonald Street shop. In the early 2000’s, he took on a rebuild role at the Parts Distribution Center, where he also served as an Emergency Responder. Thank you, Bob!
