This trip to Panama started as a total "why not" moment- and ended up becoming one of my favorite destinations. It's even crazier when I think about the timing - just 3 months after my husband's dream trip to Norway, and with Fiji coming up next (a trip we planned nearly a year ago) Somehow Panama just squeezed right in.
We spent 6 nights there and honestly, I could have doubled that and loved every minute - minus the sun trying to take me out 😅 (it's no joke!)
And yes...I know I said this after Norway too, but once again- I could barely look at my phone. when a destination exceeds your expectations like this, it's hard to focus on anything else. Between the rainforest, lush scenery, tropical beaches and incredible wildlife, I was completely in my element. Seeing village life in the jungle was surreal- beautiful, humbling and a reminder to live with an open-mind.
Add authentic experiences with local communities, the marvel of the Panama Canal, and the freshest Pina Colada I've ever had (served straight from a freshly carved pineapple) ...it's a trip I'll never forget.
As Spring approaches here in Wisconsin, I'm just feeling incredibly grateful.
