Yesterday was a busy day. Started off at the hospital for a screening and then back in the Barn for trash cleanup. The biggest space gains were to be made by cleaning out our camping and sporting goods By opening them up and taking pics to put on FB marketplace. They are there now.
After that I had to move both the 2003 and 2024 Pickups, one into the garage out of the way and then the 2003 to assemble the trash and load. After a trip to the transfer station with the 2003, I spent more time assessing what the disposition of more items was going to be. When I finally had enough of that, I started closing up the barn and garage, took the keys out of the 2003 and went to get the 2024 keys out of the truck and put them on their hooks in the entry.
The problem was the 2024 keys were nowhere to be found. I searched everywhere including both trucks twice. Tried retracing my steps and when that was exhausted, my thoughts turned to how to replace all those keys which include trailer and hitch keys along with the truck cap and the main FOB for entry and start of the truck. I have spares for everything except the FOB. Linda has her own set but the trailer hitch key is one she doesnt have and I just had a spare made for that but have not put in on her key ring, Its still on mine.
The problem seems urgent because we are leaving for the Region 2 Airstream Rally in Pennsylvania next week. I decided I was frustrated enough to look one more time. I thought I may have taken the keys with me hooked on my belt when I went back to load the bags of trash and may have lost them in the process. but if I thought I had loaded on my belt and then got out of the truck and the carabina did not lock, like I have done before, the keys should still be on the seat. On the outside chance that is what happened I looked between the console and the seat.
