Today is a very special day at Van’s Delivery Service as we celebrate the retirement of someone who has been so much more than an employee — Bob VanHouten has truly been part of our family for the past 48 years.
For nearly five decades, Bob has shown up, put in the miles, and given Van’s Delivery Service his dedication, loyalty, and hard work. He has worked for three generations of our family, and through all those years, he has been someone we could always count on.
Bob’s commitment to doing things the right way — especially when it came to safety — was something we always admired. His incredible safety record speaks volumes about the pride, care, and professionalism he brought to his job every single day.
It’s hard to put 48 years into words. There are so many memories, stories, miles, and moments that have become part of the history of Van’s. We feel incredibly fortunate that Bob chose to spend his career with us.
We’ll certainly miss seeing him pull in, Smokey coming in for his treats, hearing the stories, and simply knowing Bob was out there representing Van’s.
From all of us at Van’s Delivery Service — thank you, Bob. Thank you for your loyalty, your dedication, your hard work, and for being such an important part of our family for 48 years.
Congratulations on your retirement, Bob VanHouten! You have more than earned it. We hope this next chapter brings you plenty of time to relax, enjoy life, spend time with the people you love, and make many new memories.
