I cannot emphasize enough how important it is to not talk to the police if you are being investigated for a criminal offense. They will ask you the same questions 20 times, if you say "no" 19 of them and then "yes" on the 20th time, they will say you confessed and try to use that against you. Even if you have your interview with the police on video and play the whole thing for the jury, many jurors will think "why did he admit to something he didn't do." Just don't talk. They already think you are guilty and will only use your statements to twist it against you.
