Viewing Park - Gerald R. Ford International Airport The Gerald R. Ford International Airport Viewing Park is a great place to watch planes coming in and out of GRR!

The park is free & open on Tuesdays-Sundays from 7:30am-dusk and on Mondays from 9:30am-dusk. The GFIA Viewing Area is located on the south side of the airfield and provides a great view of aircraft using both long runways as well as the air carrier ramp. While there, tune your radio to 1650 AM to listen as the Air Traffic Controllers communicate with pilots and ground crews. The viewing area is open from dawn until dusk and is accessed by taking Kraft Avenue north from 52nd Street.

Exciting improvements are underway at the Gerald R. Ford International Airport Viewing Park! You may notice construction near the entrance of the viewing park as we begin to enhance the experience for future food truck events.

The viewing park will continue to remain open on Tuesdays-Sundays from 7:30am-dusk and on Mondays from 9:30am-dusk.
