A day they won’t soon forget. Rode everything, met lots of fun characters and their souvenirs perfectly show how different they are 😂. There’s an NBA store in the city walk and Griffin knew where he was shopping when the day was done 😝.

Bayleigh picked the hotel -she’s joining us tomorrow evening with the grandkids and her sister-in-law.
Her hotel checklist was basically:

* shuttle to LAX
* free breakfast (her kids seem to hold daily eating competitions)
* proximity to In-N-Out 🍔

New passport✔️✈️

Just got my passport back after renewing by mail - took about 5 weeks, which honestly isn’t bad compared to the chaos of the last few years. I still had a year left, but with Europe coming up during my 6-month renewal window, this was the only way to make it work.

Heads up if you’re renewing in 2026:
• Fees went up (but barely $3.50 increase for a 10 year and $2.50 for a 5 year)
• New “30 days or free” processing guarantee! This one is exciting! (Business days and excluding mailing time)

Meanwhile, my husband renewed online in the fall and had his in 2 weeks… jealous. That option would’ve been way easier, but timing didn’t line up for me.

Anyway—passport secured, less than 4 weeks till our next adventure! 🇲🇽🚢✨

Jordie’s face is the description of a red eye 😂
We are home from Maui (landed at 7am), the boys slept a total of zero seconds on the plane. Griffin played trivia and chess all night and Jordie watched Zootopia 2. It’s gonna be a rough day when we finish driving home and they have to be awake for the day.

EXCURSIONS!!! 🌊🐠🐋

Some are totally worth it. This time we went with and it was AMAZING!

A few months ago the boys collectively decided to use their birthday money toward doing something fun on one of their many vacations in 2026. We suggested this for a couple reasons:

1️⃣ We didn’t want more toys that would be tossed aside soon after and clutter our home.
2️⃣ We wanted them to start understanding what it actually costs to do all these cool things - and have them personally invested in it. Would we have paid for it anyway? Yes. But it doesn’t hurt for them to invest in experiences too.

We showed them videos of some awesome things they could do in the places we’re traveling, and they chose a snorkelling trip to Molokini crater!

A couple months ago we got them snorkel sets and had them practice in the pool before we left. Then we spent our first 10 days here practicing in the ocean right off the shore. They’ve already spotted turtles, tropical fish, and even an eel! 🐢🐠

Today they hopped off the boat fully confident and independent with their snorkels and saw tons of fish and even an octopus! 🐙

The boat ride there and back also turned into an unexpected whale-watching tour. 🐋

They’re everywhere and they’re the most adorable creatures, it’s always a highlight to hang out with them 🐢❤️

Vacations are the perfect time to capture those family memories. Hire a local photographer or do what I did-find out where and when your photographer is vacationing and show up at their destination 🤷🏼‍♀️😜

Raising capable kids over here 👏✈️

He was given zero help - just “read your boarding pass and follow the signs.”
When we hit customs he was a little nervous, but we stayed quiet and let him answer for himself (the officer totally caught on to what we were doing 😅).

Mom moment: so proud.
My goal is simple - I never want my kids to feel nervous navigating travel when they’re older. Confidence comes from doing 💛
