☀️ Huge thanks to Trail Ridge Marina for this beautiful shot of Rainbow Bridge in Grand Lake, Colorado! While the view is warm and inviting, the water is anything but.

Cold Water Facts:
Even on a bluebird day, our high-altitude reservoir temperatures are dangerously low. Cold water shock hits in seconds, making it nearly impossible to stay afloat without help.

Stay Safe on the Water:

🦺 Wear it, don’t just stow it: A life vest only works if it’s already on when you hit the water.

📏 Check the fit: Ensure your Personal Flotation Device (PFD) is snug and right for your activity.

🌬️ Watch the weather: Mountain winds can capsize small craft in an instant.

Enjoy the beauty, but play it smart. Always wear your PFD.

We have had some inquiries relating to the water levels of Shadow Mountain Lake and Grand Lake. These 2 lakes are part of the Colorado Big Thompson project and are not allowed to fluctuate more than a few inches. TRM will be renting boats as usual, and simply stated--these lakes are full and ready for the 2026 boating season!

Boats are already in the water! Isabelle, Dawg, Peaches, Miss Daisy, America and Castle Rocker have the honor of being first in Shadow Mountain Lake!  TRM staff will be ready to welcome Slip Renters and customers in the next few weeks! Buoys should be in by May 9.
