Harbor Transit is proud to have been selected to receive $621,047 through the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) Infrastructure Projects Authority Fund (IPAF) to expand our service hours and add a service extension point at Grand Valley State University in Allendale.

This investment will help us fill transportation gaps in Northwest Ottawa County and beyond, creating lasting benefits for residents throughout the service area by removing transportation barriers that limit access to employment, education, and healthcare.

We look forward to working with MDOT to bring this project forward and strengthen public transportation and regional connectivity in Northwest Ottawa County.

Did you know that Harbor Transit drivers are specially trained to assist passengers on an off the bus as needed? 🚍 One of our riders gave their driver a five-star review today, with this kind note: "I really appreciate the driver’s extra assistance in guiding me down the ramp. I swear my walker is out to get me, and would if the drivers weren’t there!" You won't find a safer ride around town than with our amazing drivers!

Reminder ‼️ If you have a recurring rides series set up with Harbor Transit, and would like it to continue into the next quarter, please call us to renew it prior to September 30, 2026. Call us at 616-842-3200 and a dispatcher will assist you.

If you happen to miss the deadline but still need your recurring rides, just give us a call and a dispatcher can help you get set up with a new recurring ride series.
