Join our dynamic team as a Medical Transport Specialist/Driver and play a vital role in ensuring safe, reliable, and compassionate transportation for patients and clients. In this energetic position, you will be responsible for safely operating various vehicles to transport individuals to medical appointments, facilities, or other destinations. Responsibilities
* Safely operate a mobility rear entry van/ commercial transport vehicle to transport clients efficiently and comfortably
* Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, providing friendly and professional customer service throughout each trip
* Conduct routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety and compliance with all regulations
* Navigate routes effectively using GPS or maps, ensuring timely arrivals at destinations
* Communicate clearly with dispatchers, clients, and team members to coordinate schedules and address any issues promptly
* Handle heavy lifting when assisting passengers with mobility devices while maintaining safety protocols
* Maintain accurate records of vehicle maintenance logs
Requirements
* Proven experience in shuttle driving, delivery driving, bus driving, or mobility transportation preferred; strong background in commercial driving is a plus. EMS background is preferred and a huge plus but not required.
* Valid driver’s license appropriate for the vehicle type Class C with a clean driving record
* Experience in paratransit services or mobility transport is advantageous
* Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with passengers and team members
* Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when assisting passengers or handling equipment
* Knowledge of vehicle maintenance basics to identify issues early and ensure safety standards are met
* Strong customer service orientation with a positive attitude and problem-solving/critical thinking skills
* Flexibility to work various shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
* Must be able to pass a pre-employment criminal background check and drug test provided by the employer.
