🌿 Manchmal sind es die einfachsten Ideen, die am besten funktionieren.

Im Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens bekommen Kinder eine Schatzkarte und machen sich auf die Suche nach großen Holzfiguren im Wald. Was daraus entsteht, ist wunderschön: Zwei Stunden voller Entdecken, Staunen und Bewegung – ganz ohne Handy.

Es hat uns an unsere eigene Kindheit erinnert. 💚

Wie motiviert ihr Kinder, wieder mehr Zeit draußen in der Natur zu verbringen? Wir freuen uns auf eure Ideen! 🌲

🐋🐧 Maine keeps amazing us.

Here, life is shaped by silence, wide open spaces, and the rhythm of nature. Among its remote islands, Atlantic puffins return for just a few weeks each year to raise their chicks. And then, a fin whale—the second-largest animal on Earth—appears.

Moments like these remind us how beautiful the quiet side of the world can be. ❤️⛵️

These colors, this light, and this sense of peace are almost impossible to put into words. ⛵️✨

🌪️ Tornado warning in Portland.

Definitely not what we expected today.

The forecast shifted 12 hours earlier and winds increased to over 40 knots, so we moved ENJA to a well-protected marina in Portland Harbor.

Good call.

Now there are even tornado warnings and rotating storm cells over Maine. So far, no tornado has formed—and we hope it stays that way.

ENJA is securely moored, we’re in a sheltered harbor, and there’s not much more we can do.

So we’re doing what sailors do best after preparing: heading to the pub for a b**r. 🍺⛵️

Fingers crossed it stays just storm clouds.

We’ve arrived in Maine – the final stretch of our journey north toward the Canadian border. ⛵️🇨🇦

Maine welcomed us in the most authentic way possible: with its famous fog. Apparently, it didn’t want us to miss its signature attraction. 😄🌫️

Fortunately, the sun returned in the afternoon and revealed the beautiful coastline, islands, and scenery that make this part of the world so special. We even managed a first island adventure from our anchorage.

Not a bad start to our Maine experience – once we could actually see it. ☀️🌊

A few final impressions from Boston. 🇺🇸✨

What a wonderful stop this has been. From historic streets and waterfront sunsets to life aboard ENJA, Boston gave us many special memories.

Today, we cast off the lines and continue our journey north. New places, new experiences, and new adventures await beyond the horizon. ⛵️🌊

Thank you, Boston — it’s been a pleasure.
