Come join us this Sunday, February 15th, 2026 at the Alton Bay Winter Carnival. Laconia Flight Academy will be participating at the carnival with a booth and a couple of our Certified Flight Instructors attending it to answer any questions you may have about learning how to fly. If you plan to fly in and land on the Alton Bay Ice Runway, the link below from the Boston FAASTeam provides some helpful guidance on landing on this particular Ice Runway.

Sky Bright's Laconia Flight Academy will be starting its next Private Pilot Ground School course in just three weeks, September 8th. If you are planning to earn your Private Pilot Certificate, this is the ground school course for you!

We will be starting our next Hybrid (Live In-Person and Online) Private Pilot Ground School course on September 8th. Register at http://flylfa.com/pplclass to ensure a seat!This 10 week course has been developed to help students prepare for the FAA's Private Pilot Knowledge test and their Private Pilot Checkride.

Course Details

- 10 Week Course
- Meets every Monday and Wednesday, from 6-8pm
- Location: Laconia Airport Terminal Conference Room
- Hybrid class: In Person and via Microsoft Teams; classes recorded for make-up
- Cost is $649 non-refundable; to be paid prior to start of first class

- 2025 Private Pilot Test Prep Book; Provided by LFA
- New York Sectional Chart; Provided by LFA
- E6B Whiz Wheel; Provided by LFA
