The yellow "X" 's have been rolled up and the NOTAM has been canceled. The Giddings-Lee County Airport is open ! What a cluster pluck this has been . Now for the other 90%..

Looks like TXDOT is so busy the walk through inspection is scheduled for March 25th. Sorry folks , this project still drags on. I'm moving the NOTAM back to April 1 . Ironic , isn't it.

Well , now we are waiting to get the "walk thru" inspection scheduled. Like , it takes more time to schedule it then it will take to get it done. Maybe by the end of the month ?

Contractor is painting the markings on the runway & ramp today. Seeding tomorrow and then the "X"'s get pulled and "we are open" 🛩

Monday and most of Tuesday wasted. Runway markings layout complete. Rainy weather has moved in now so the painting will be delayed till we get dry weather days and Eagle Airport Markings can get back on this project. I have pushed the "CLOSED" NOTAM to March 12, 2021. The delays continue .......
