Incident Response at the Wayne County Bridge

Grosse Ile officers responded Thursday afternoon after receiving reports of a man who had jumped from the Wayne County Bridge. The man was located in the water and safely assisted to shore near Waters Edge Marina. He was treated on scene by Grosse Ile Fire Department EMS and later released to family.

We thank the Trenton Police Department, Grosse Ile Fire Department, and TowBoat U.S. out of Gibraltar for their quick and professional response.

No further information is being released at this time.
