We've all heard it, "Don't waste your money on Disney before your child can remember it!".

You've heard that, right? Obviously, I hear that a lot, and here is my personal opinion.... they might not remember it but YOU will. I think sometimes as parents we forget that our experiences matter too. As a Mom to a 10, 7, and 4-year-old, I am SO glad I took mine when they were young. Will they remember all of it? No. But I remember their first smile on Dumbo and that's worth it for me. We have a family culture of having fun together.

Take them while they believe those are the actual charcters, the princess, and alllll the magic! Take them for them, but also take them for YOU!

You know that old saying that once you have kids, vacations are no longer vacations and they become just trips?

I’ve certainly had exhausting experiences like that but I’ve also had some pretty great vacays with my kiddos. For me, it comes down to planning and WHAT we are doing. If I need to relax, then I need to plan for that.

I get a lot of feedback about vacations from my clients.
For a lot of my clients a relaxing vacation with kids = a Disney Cruise.

Their kids are entertained and get to see the Disney characters 🤩. They get the same waiter every night that knows like all things. You know how my oldest won’t go for anything green, my youngest doesn’t like any food touching 🤷‍♀️, and has my diet coke just waiting for me when we get there.

Did I mention that they have a kids club that your kids actually want to go to? You get to have a drink by the pool and finish a whole conversation uninterrupted with your husband. Whaat?

So here’s my unsolicited advice. Don’t take trips. Take vacations and don’t wait until your kids are older for it. Relax with them now.
