I can't even tell you how happy I am for all my clients heading out on their cruise adventures today! 🩷 There's nothing better than knowing people are about to enjoy some well-deserved vacation time, make amazing memories, and have experiences they'll remember for years to come.

🛳️ TRAVEL TIP: Don't overlook the Ultimate Abyss on Royal Caribbean! 🤩

If you've ever sailed on Symphony of the Seas or Harmony of the Seas, you may have seen this massive slide on the back of the ship!

It's called the Ultimate Abyss, and it's a 10-story dry slide that takes you twisting and turning down multiple decks of the ship! And yes, it's as fun as it sounds! 🙌

One of our family's favorite things to do onboard is ride the Abyss! We love finding those fun activities that give us memories together, and this is definitely one of them. ❤️

The best part? You don't have to spend extra money on this activity. It's included in your cruise fare!

If you're sailing on one of these ships, make sure you add the Ultimate Abyss to your must-do list! Just check the height and weight restrictions before riding.

One thing I get asked ALL the time is, “Why are gratuities added to my cruise?”

Cruise gratuities are essentially tips for the crew members who take care of you throughout your cruise — your cabin steward, dining staff, and other crew members working behind the scenes to make your vacation happen. ❤️

Most cruise lines automatically add a daily gratuity amount per guest to your onboard account.

And here’s something important to know 👇

That gratuity is usually NOT included in the advertised cruise fare you see when you're shopping for a cruise. So when comparing prices, you want to make sure you're looking at the total cost, not just the starting fare.

💡 Travel Tip: Ask what gratuities are, how much they are per day, and whether they’re already included in your cruise price before you book.

And yes—you can often prepay your gratuities when booking, which can make budgeting for your cruise a little easier!

This is one of those little cruise details that can catch first-time cruisers off guard. That's why having a travel agent who can walk you through the details can be SO helpful. 😉

Did you know your passport can still be unexpired and you may not be able to travel with it? 👀

For U.S. passports:
🇺🇸 Ages 16+ → valid for 10 years
👧 Under 16 → valid for 5 years

BUT here’s the part a lot of people don’t realize… some destinations require your passport to be valid for 3–6 months beyond your travel dates.

So before you book that trip, don’t just check the expiration date—check your destination’s passport requirements, too!
