We’re looking for volunteers for the Texas Restaurant Association Galveston Chapter: Epicurean Event 2026 🍽️✨

📅 Thursday, April 16
📍 Moody Gardens
⏰ Event Time: 6:00 PM - 8:30 PM

Volunteers will work one shift and get to enjoy the event during the other!
👉 Shift options:
• 5:30 PM - 7:00 PM
• 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM

This is a great opportunity to support one of Galveston’s premier culinary events while networking and experiencing the fun firsthand.

Our team is especially excited about the conversations we’re bringing to the table this year. Join us on Tuesday, May 12 at the Galveston Island Convention Center as we explore our theme: **Galveston on the Global Stage** 🌎

This year’s program focuses on the trends and opportunities shaping tourism both here on the island and around the world, from performance insights and traveler behavior to AI in travel discovery, social media, short-term rentals, and online reviews. Our goal is for every attendee to walk away with practical, actionable ideas they can use right away.

Hey, Galveston CTAs! We're gearing up for an exciting **Mustang Week** this April, and the organizers need YOUR help to make it a success! 🐎💨

Whether you have a passion for Mustangs or simply want to be part of the action, we’re looking for volunteers to assist with various activities throughout the event. It's a fantastic opportunity to meet new people and be part of a legendary week on the island! 🌴

Juneteenth grant applications are open! 💙❤️

The Park Board supports Juneteenth events and activities through a grants program, where applicants may receive up to $20,000 in funding to assist in the marketing and promotion of their Juneteenth activities. Since Juneteenth became a federal holiday in 2021, Galveston has started sharing its community celebration with the world. Juneteenth will commemorate 160 years in 2025. 🌟

The application is live on the www.galvestonparkboard.org/342/Juneteenth-Grant-Program and is open to the public. There will be a single round for the submission and approval of funding this year. The deadline for submitting is Jan. 17 with awards being voted on at the Feb. 25 board meeting.

Celebrate Galveston as a “Tourism Friendly Texas” Community
Join us on Tuesday, Dec. 17, at 10 a.m. in the Moody Gardens Visitor Center Lobby to celebrate Galveston’s commitment to tourism excellence. Mayor Brown will share a proclamation and Nate Gieryn, Tourism Deputy Director, will present the official certification on behalf of the Governor’s Office, and the event will include a ribbon cutting to mark this milestone.

Refreshments will be served.
