Come hike the park at night, past normal business hours! This hike is themed on nature at night, how a "different" world wakes up at night!

This hike will take us through the Connector, High Ridge, Tennessee History, and Mayo Wix Trails. The Birdsong Trail can also be utilized if desired and within time constraints. Please dress for the weather and nighttime lighting - at least one flashlight per person is required (most flashlights will be used for illuminating the ground for safety and identification). If you have a UV/blacklight that is portable and easy to carry on a hike - bring it!

Join Ranger Abby on a hike around the park as we search for Paw Paw trees. Learn about this unique tree's history and biology, as well as best foraging practices. With our thriving Paw Paw population, we're guaranteed to find some ripe enough to sample!

This hike will be approximately 1.5 miles on easy to moderate trails. Trails include a portion of High Ridge Trail, the TN History Trail, and Shoreline Trail. This hike will not include the stairs. Meet at the Visitor Center back porch.

Parking is available at the Visitor Center parking lot, playground parking lot, and any paved space on Raccoon Creek Lane.

Join Ranger Jack in this basic overview of fishing, where you will go over the basic parts of a fishing rod, how to bait and cast, and important basics of fishing so you can develop an understanding that you can build on in the future. In addition, you will get to do some fishing yourself - poles and worms will be provided so you are not required to bring any of your own equipment! You may bring your own poles, bait, and tackle.

For the purposes of this program, a valid TN fishing license is required for any participant over 12.
