U.S Congresswoman Kat Cammack recognized Beamer Friday for her eight-and-a-half years of service as the Gainesville Regional Airport’s explosives detection K9.

It was indeed a special day at GNV!! As we remembered 9-11, we also celebrated one of our beloved team members. K9 Beamer and her handler Jason Berger received Congressional Challenge Coins and a flag flown over the US Capitol. Beamer’s final explosives sniffing demo was met by a hail of lovingly decorated Kong Dog Toys that were donated for the occasion. 🐾🐾🦮❤️

Today, as we never forget, we also celebrate the dedication of explosives K9 Beamer, who alongside her handler, Jason Berger, has served GNV for 8.5 years. She is named for Todd Beamer from UA 93. We love you, Beamer ❤️🐾🐾🦮✈️🇺🇸

We LOVED hosting Gainesville Dogs Inc Guide Dogs in Training, Gainesville Puppy Raisers and the folks from guidedogs.org, whose mission is “raising puppies for those who cannot see and those who have seen too much.” These gorgeous pups: Oakley, Ollie, Dasher, Banjo, Storm, Sampson, Olive, Kargo, Bug, Sarge, Luna, Wolfe and George (and their handlers) honed their skills at GNV at the ticket counter, the TSA checkpoint, the boarding area and the baggage claim❤️❤️❤️this past Saturday. We love them all and wish them well!🐾🐾🦮✈️❤️❤️❤️🥰
