🚧 Travel Alert!

GDOT will close all lanes on I-285 NB/SB between S. Atlanta Rd and SR 280/S Cobb Dr in Fulton this weekend from 7 p.m. on 10/16, until 5 a.m. on 10/19.

Motorists should allow additional travel time during these closures.

BARROW COUNTY: Your SR 316 route is changing October 13!

Travel through SR 316 and SR 211/Patrick Mill Road? A traffic shift will bring new turn restrictions, roundabout routes and access to the new Exit 19 ramp.

➡️ Eastbound: The left turn to SR 211 north/Patrick Mill Road north will close.
⬅️ Westbound: No turns will be allowed at the existing Patrick Mill Road intersection. Drivers must use Exit 19 to access SR 211, Patrick Mill Road and Tom Miller Road.

A portion of SR 332 will be CLOSED Oct. 8–13 as crews complete roadway and sewer upgrades connected to the new roundabout at SR 332 and Boone Road.

⚠️ If you travel SR 332 near the new Hoschton High School property, you’ll want to plan ahead.

🚧 TRAFFIC ALERT: SR 316 & SR 20 | TRAFFIC SWITCH SATURDAY 🚧

Drivers traveling through the SR 316 and SR 20 interchange should plan for lane closures this Saturday, September 19, as crews conduct a traffic switch.

📍 Where: Ramps connecting SR 316 and SR 20
📅 When: Saturday, September 19
⏰ Time: Approximately 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The traffic switch will affect all four ramps at the interchange—two eastbound and two westbound. Lane closures will be in place throughout the day while crews complete the work.

🚗 Motorists should expect delays and use caution when traveling through the work zone. Please slow down, pay attention to changing traffic patterns and follow all posted signs and directions from crews.

⚠️ Work is weather- and progress-dependent and may be adjusted as needed.

🚧 TRAFFIC ALERT | Forsyth County

Beginning Monday, Sept. 28, Campground Road at SR 9 (Atlanta Highway) will be closed for approximately 30 days as part of the SR 9 widening project.

Please follow the signed detour, expect delays, and allow extra travel time while crews complete roadway improvements.

Changes Coming Soon to Jimmy Daniell Road! 📣

Beginning September 14, Jimmy Daniell Road at SR 316 will temporarily close for approximately six months as crews safely advance construction of the new bridge and interchange. A signed detour will route Jimmy Daniell Road traffic in Oconee County along Atlanta Highway, US 78, and Mars Hill Road. SR 316 will remain OPEN.

During construction, access to homes, businesses, and public facilities will be maintained. Here's Project Manager Brittney Bozzi with an update on the closure and detour.

Motorists are advised to plan ahead, follow posted signage, and check for real-time traffic updates.

🚧 TRAFFIC ALERT: SR 211 at Duncan Creek 🚧

Drivers should plan for heavy delays on SR 211 at Duncan Creek as crews perform clearing and tree removal.

📅 Work Schedule:

• Sept. 2–4: 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
• Sept. 8–11: 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Traffic impacts are also expected at the intersections of Pinot Noir Drive and Liberty Church Road.

⚠️ Please allow extra travel time, slow down in the work zone, and watch for crews and changing traffic conditions.

Work is weather permitting and schedules are subject to change.
