Two customers in the same book can be having very different quarters.

Manufacturing is still a positive driver for freight, and housing is a drag, with weak home sales and weak builder sentiment. A manufacturing book and a construction-materials book are behaving differently right now.

A busy week in freight. C.H. Robinson agreed to buy RXO for about $5.8 billion, with closing expected in the first half of 2027. Major U.S. ports are reporting near-record container activity, and carriers have announced blank sailings after Golden Week.

Demand is also splitting. Manufacturing is still a positive freight driver, and housing is a drag.

A truck you have trusted for years may not clear onboarding this quarter.

Brokers are cutting carriers on safety scores since the Montgomery ruling, and more than 27,000 drivers have been placed out of service for English proficiency.

So we vet before we book, keep a second approved carrier ready on the lane, and swap before pickup when a familiar carrier does not clear. Your shipper stays posted and never feels the gap.

Three agents we support made the GlobalTranz tenure list in Nashville last week. Randy
Frederick and Tranz Wise Logistics hit 15 years. Laurie Zeck and Personal Logistics Assistants hit 10, and so did Severt Nielsen and The Severt Group.

When I started DLT it was small, one client and then a few more, and every answer ran through me. That worked right up until the business outgrew it.

Growing meant hiring, and I hired the wrong people at times. It meant setting clearer
expectations and building a team I could trust to hold the standard when I wasn't in the room.

For a while growth felt isolating, because I was the one holding everything together.

Last Thursday I spent the whole day at the regional meeting in Nashville, and my team held down the fort.

That's the same freedom I built DLT to give the agents we support.
