While this has nothing to do transportation this is something near and dear to my heart💕

Winter Coat Drive

While waiting in line to check out this past weekend. I overheard a conversation between two women standing behind me. It was obvious they knew each other, but they were not close friends.

From the conversation, I gathered that each lady was a government employee that was furloughed. They talked about what a rough time it was and how food was becoming an issue.

One of their daughters came up with a cute little coat and her mom explained not right now, honey. We’ll get that later. Then she turned to her friend and said “I can’t put food on the table. How am I gonna buy a coat in a few weeks? “

This has laid on my heart💕💕

Currently, I plan on distributing to the children’s advocacy center & Salvation Army in Galveston. There is also a homeless shelter on the island that I plan on dropping off the adult coats.

If it is easier I also have an Amazon wish list for new coats that are price $15-$28
