Route 39 along the Clinton Avenue corridor is increasing from 30 minute intervals to every 15 minutes, Monday–Friday, from 6:00 AM–6:00 PM.

This means less waiting and more flexibility for thousands of Fresno residents who rely on public transportation every day.

The $4.5 million investment, made possible through the Affordable Housing and Sustainable Communities grant in partnership with RH Community Builders, will also include three new buses, approximately five driver jobs, and 16 bus stop improvements.

JOIN US TODAY! NEW FAX BUS YARD, ADMIN, MAINT. & HYDROGEN STORAGE STATION COMMUNITY WORKSHOP.
FAX invites community members to take part in a workshop happening today, August 11, 6pm to 8pm at the Mary Ella Brown Center. You can learn about and share your thoughts on an exciting new project proposal. This initiative involves acquiring land within Fresno’s AB617 community boundary, specifically in the South-Central Specific Plan area, to develop a new bus yard. This facility will include Administration, Maintenance, and a Hydrogen Storage Station, designed to support our growing staff needs and facilitate the transition to zero-emission buses and vehicles. Your feedback is crucial in shaping this initiative, and we warmly encourage you to be part of the conversation. Take Route 32 south to the center. REMOTE OPTION ADDED. Cooling Centers opening today, August 10, 2026! ☀️☀️☀️
The National Weather Service in Hanford has projected temperatures to reach or exceed 105 degrees Fahrenheit today. Cooling Centers will be open for the public to utilize from 12:00 PM (noon) to 8:00 PM.
Cooling Center locations are:
Ted C. Wills Community Center; 770 N. San Pablo, Fresno, CA 93728
Mosqueda Community Center; 4670 E. Butler Ave. Fresno, CA 93702
Maxie L. Parks Community Center; 1802 E. California Ave. Fresno, CA 93706
FAX will provide free transportation along normal routes to and from cooling centers from 11AM to 9PM.

REVISED: COOLING CENTERS OPEN SUNDAY August 9th & MONDAY August 10th, 2026 all cooling center locations will be open from 12:00 PM to 8:00PM. FAX will provide free bus transportation from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM for those traveling to and from all Cooling Centers.
