Fraternity update #8: The fraternity has only posted photos on Instagram since 2015 but I still wanted to include those in the restoration. Here's is my process:
• Took a screenshot of every post on my phone. That way, the aspect ratio was best for printing.
• I took multiple screenshots if the caption was long since I knew I wouldn't be able to fit it all on one 4x6 photo. If the post had multiple photos, I swiped and waited until the number disappeared (1/2, 2/2, etc).
• I uploaded all the screenshots into albums by semester on a photo printing website. That way, the screenshots would be in smaller groupings if I needed to find them again to reprint (which I did reprint many).
• I checked each screenshot in the cart to make sure I wasn't cutting anything off.
• With the dates on the screenshot, I could easily scrapbook them in order. I just had to match up any posts with multiple prints.

A few hard lessons learned:
• Make sure your phone font setting is at the default (not zoomed bigger). The captions will print better with the smaller default font.
• I had to unfollow a few people so their names weren't listed on the screenshot (ex: "Liked by and 3 others"). If these are personal photos, you may not care as much. I followed those people again when my task was completed!
• Different phones may have different views of the feed. (Date above the photo vs below the caption.) After researching this, there is no rhyme or reason, so make sure to use the same device each time.

Fraternity update #7: While the 70s albums were too sticky, the 80s albums weren't sticky at all! You flip a page and everything fell out. 😫 After learning that lesson the hard way, we did our best to keep everything separated and had to lay out each page individually to reassemble. RIP to the few captions that didn't make it back in the new books. 😢 We did our best!
