Located in the Saint John Valley of northern Maine the Northern Aroostook Regional Airport is the most northeasterly public use airport in the USA, and is one of the four corners of the US. Frequented by aircraft traveling internationally because of the airport's convenient location and the ease of clearing US Customs upon returning to the US. US Customs and Border Patrol, US Military, Maine Warden Service, Maine Forest Service, and Maine State Police are all able to access the Saint John Valley due to the airport's services and strategic location. Additionally the airport is frequented by the volunteer pilots of two great humanitarian organizations. Angel Flight, and Patient Airlift Services are both seen on a regular basis providing free flights to patients in need of travel to medical appointments and procedures outside of Aroostook County. The airport also hosts a flight school-Aviation Unlimited; the Aroostook Aero Club; and a charter company-New England Air Transport-which provides air charter and scenic flights over the beautiful scenery of northern Maine.
