🎃✈️ Come spend your Saturday afternoon with us at the Northern Aroostook Regional Airport for our Great Pumpkin Drop-In! 🍬

Join us Saturday, October 24th from 2–4 PM for a fun plane-only trunk-or-treat! Come meet some of our local pilots, get an up-close look at the planes, ask questions, and let the kiddos collect some candy along the way.

We’ll wrap up the afternoon with a good old-fashioned candy drop!

Then keep the Halloween fun going and head over to Wisdom High School for St. Agatha Recreation Department’s Annual Trunk or Treat, beginning at 6 PM!

Two fun community events in one day — bring the kids, grab those costumes and candy buckets, and make an afternoon and evening of it! 🎃👻

We can’t wait to see everyone at the airport! ✈️🍂

We were happy to be a pit stop for a group of aviators from Southern Maine headed north for a fishing trip in Goose Bay!

On their way home after a successful trip, they topped off with fuel and completed their customs inspection right here at KFVE.

Last week, NARAA was blessed by the presence of an PALS that helped connect a patient from The Valley to a medical appointment in Boston, then back home.

Patients utilizing PALS may request KFVE – Northern Aroostook Regional Airport as their destination when it is closer and more convenient to home.

“For someone up here in Frenchville to have to go all the way to Boston, that's a whole day trip on the ground, versus if they've got an aircraft or helicopter, you're talking hours. And then you've got the care of the LifeFlight crew, which is known to be some of the best, if not the best. In Northern Maine, we're very limited on services. Having LifeFlight is basically a lifeline, especially up here.”

Brad Richard, the manager of the Princeton Regional Airport in Washington County, and Matt Derosier, the manager of the Northern Aroostook Regional Airport Authority in Frenchville, have worked in partnership with LifeFlight of Maine for years. Brad and Matt do not work directly with patients, but they help with dozens of patient transports each year.

This aircraft made the trip from Bedford, Massachusetts to KFVE – Northern Aroostook Regional Airport, where they topped off with Jet-A fuel before heading into town for lunch using our courtesy car.

After lunch, it was back to KFVE and on their way home to Bedford!

42 WAYPOINTS. ONE GREAT CAUSE.

Earlier this week, KFVE had the privilege of being one of Scott’s 42 waypoints as he flew his open-cockpit biplane around Maine for an incredible cause.
Scott’s mission, Waypoints for Funds, honored Ben Winick and raised funds for Ben’s House Sober Living for Men.
And he did it — all 42 waypoints completed!

This was more than a flight. It was a reminder that everyone has a story, recovery takes a village, and sometimes a little support can help someone get back in the pilot’s seat of their own life.
We’re honored that KFVE got to be a small part of the journey.
Congratulations, Scott. What a flight. What a purpose.

Father and Son Bring Cross-Country Flying Adventure to Northern Aroostook

A father-and-son team is taking on an unforgettable journey across the United States in a one-of-a-kind aircraft. Paul Breed began the trip in Oceanside, California, flying along the southern border to Florida, where he picked up his son. Together, they continued north along the East Coast and recently made a stop with us at Northern Aroostook Regional Airport.

So far, Paul has logged roughly 5,100 miles and 90 hours of flying time, with the pair spending about four hours in the air each day. Their route has carried them across coastlines, state borders and countless miles of open sky, turning the trip into both an aviation challenge and a memorable father-and-son adventure.

With the East Coast portion now complete, they are heading toward Oshkosh, Wisconsin. The pair is recording the journey and sharing their flights online through Paul Breed Live Stream. Follow along at www.youtube.com/
