Port Freeport is soliciting proposals from qualified vendors for the sourcing, installation, configuration, and removal of existing generator that comply with the functional and performance specifications detailed in Request for Proposal (RFP). The generator replacement, skid modification is located at Port Freeport Emergency Operations Center (EOC) located at 801 Navigation Boulevard, Freeport, Texas 77541. Competitive sealed bids will be accepted until 2:00 PM CST on October 8, 2026.

Port Freeport is proud to recognize Capt. Todd Tullis and Aron Hitchcock of the Brazos Pilots Association with the PORT Award for their exceptional actions during a maritime emergency in the Freeport Harbor Channel.

What began as Todd identifying a potential navigational danger quickly became a medical emergency aboard a shrimp vessel. Todd and Aron worked alongside the U.S. Coast Guard and Surfside EMS to assist the crew, transport emergency personnel and ultimately help safely transfer the patient to shore for medical care.

Their actions exemplified what the PORT Award represents: Proactive, Observant, Resourceful and Tenacious.

Please join us in recognizing Todd and Aron for their quick thinking, professionalism and willingness to step forward when it mattered most.

What a great afternoon of connecting, collaborating, and creating new business opportunities!

Port Freeport, in partnership with the Brazoria County Hispanic Chamber Of Commerce, recently hosted Vendor Connections at Port Freeport, bringing together Port Freeport tenants and local and regional businesses for an afternoon of networking, conversation, and relationship-building.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the event such a success. We also appreciate Port Freeport Procurement Manager Danielle Allen and BCHCC Marketing Coordinator Jessica Dice for their work in bringing this event together.
