Well that’s a wrap! We have officially ended our year for taking down trees. And what a year! We partnered with some amazing people. A big thanks to Rockford public schools again for the opportunities and opening the door to work with Owen Ames Kimball one of the largest contractors in the state! Our numerous homeowners that have trusted in us to handle their visions for their homes. Also a big thanks to Buskirk Lumber for recommending us for our largest lot clearing job to date. I have been busy for sure. I’m now concentrating on our firewood customers and our new partnership with DJs landscape for snow removal in the Cascade area. Also to dial down the pace and spend some time with my family. Happy holidays to all, and if you are needing tree trimming and removal we would love to get you on the books for spring. Best wishes from the Callihan’s , we are very grateful.

Big thank you to Doris A. today for supporting our small business. Nothing better than the appreciation expressed,the check and a big ziploc bag full of homemade chocolate chip cookies. I wanted to share some news,for all who know me and my family your probably aware that I have held 2 jobs the whole time owning my business. I have spent the last 7-8 seasons learning the industry and making some great connections with like minded individuals who go above and beyond in their field of work. It’s been exciting and exhausting, rewarding and taxing. My awesome wife has stood by my side thru it all with patience and understanding with what we’re trying to achieve. I can not say thank you to her enough through this whole endeavor. As of last Friday I officially put in my resignation at GFS and am going to pursue this craziness full time. I’m enjoying the pursuit of my own dream and being home every night to be with my family. We have expanded our firewood business to accommodate the growing need to keep up with demand and have also expanded to 5 commercial accounts on the firewood side. I’m still currently booked out about 4-5 weeks in the tree service. Also trying get equipment ready for the firewood season so we keep everything running smoothly. Please keep us in your prayers as we set sail on our own. I really want to thank everybody that has supported us in the past it’s only because of you all that this is possible. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Back cutting trees for the Village of Freeport again. Can’t tell in the video but I had to trim around electric lines and overhead cable before dropping it. All in all it went pretty well. Lots of clean up on this one!
