Fourteen years ago today we got married, and a few days later we landed in Turks and Caicos for our honeymoon.

We have been back seven times since.

It is still the trip I compare other beach trips to. Dinner under the palms at Coco Bistro. Thursday night fish fry, where the whole island shows up and you eat conch three ways standing in the sand. The boat out to Iguana Island. Walking a puppy for the afternoon from Potcake Place, which our boys will never let us skip again. And that water, which does not look real in photos and somehow looks better in person.

This is the one I send couples and families to more than anywhere else, because it works for a honeymoon and it works with kids in tow.

Still 90 degrees and I am already booking spring break. 🥲

Caribbean rooms and cruise cabins are tightening for December and March, and ski weeks out west are moving even faster. Waiting does not save you money. It just shrinks your options.

Two adults, two kids under fourteen, ten days after school let out. They wanted to see as much of Italy as they could without feeling rushed.

They came to me after an advisor who was not listening.

Here is what a fully custom itinerary actually looks like. Three bases instead of six. High speed trains instead of a rental car. Mornings booked, afternoons left open on purpose, because that is the part people get wrong.

The detail I am proudest of: Pompeii is not a separate day. It is folded into the transfer between Florence and the coast, with a private guide, so they saw it without losing a day to it.

Italy for summer 2027 books about ten months out. I am taking those families now.

Here is where my clients are in the world this week.

• A couple in Paris and Burgundy, splitting the week between the city and the vines.
• Two couples in Puglia, on the coast where the water goes that unreal green.
• Friends in South Africa, tacking a few days of safari onto a work conference, which is the single best travel decision anyone can make.
• And a couple in New York for an anniversary, with the dinner reservations already handled.

Four very different trips. Same job on my end: know the client, know the pace, and take the planning off their plate.
