Meacham Airport is excited to announce the completion of the Apron B/TWY G rehabilitation project. The original "Welcome to Fort Worth" has been re-painted and will greet aircraft when they arrive to Meacham. Thanks to Garver for the design and Ed Bell Construction Company for the construction!

Meacham Airport was able to capture some great shots of our nearly complete Apron B/TWY G project. The new TWY G was re-opened last Monday. This project is expected to be completed in the next week or two. It included full depth reconstructions of Apron B and TWY G, re-aligning TWY G to meet newer FAA design guidance, new LED light fixtures, markings, and grading improvements. This project also paints the fresh new "Welcome to Fort Worth" logo we have all known for years.

Meacham Airport operations and maintenance teams are activating at 6PM tonight for this weekend’s winter weather and will remain onsite until the event is over. If you plan to fly in or out Friday, Saturday, or Sunday please let us know at [email protected] to help us plan our removal operations.

Fort Worth has had many nicknames – Cowtown, Panther City, Funkytown, etc. But in July, it received a new one thanks to Texas House Concurrent Resolution 142: "Aviation & Defense Capital of Texas".

After all, the city has a robust ecosystem of aviation companies like American Airlines, Lockheed Martin, and Bell Flight – as well as several businesses dedicated to aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul, like Embraer, Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation, MTU Aero Engines and others.

Plus, is home to DFW Airport and the Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base Fort Worth, along with three City-owned airports – Meacham International Airport, Fort Worth Spinks Airport, and Perot Field.

Meacham Operations and Maintenance performed Snow and Ice Control Training today, as part of our annual recurrent training and preparation for winter weather season. Meacham Airport will be prepared for whatever North Texas has in store for us this winter!
