Since stepping into a Safety and Compliance role with a new client, I've gained a deeper appreciation for the realities and responsibilities of our industry. Last night, one of my client's drivers and his family, (wife and children) were involved in a tragic accident while hauling freight, my thoughts and prayers are with everyone affected. With this being said. To all owner-operators and company drivers: please stay focused, minimize distractions, and make safety your top priority every time you're on the road. We all want to get the job done, but no load, deadline, or mile is worth risking lives.

It is a great accomplishment and feeling knowing I've assisted and helped my carrier excel in this business of trucking. Been out the saddle for a good second but I jumped in feet first as I always do. It was like riding a bike. Every time I say I'm not messing with a box truck. The Freight Gods drop one on ME. Can't complain, money is out here and my team and I are making it, by any means necessary.
