Get out and Vote!

Update on Runoff for President and Executive Vice President in 2024 NATCA National Election:

As a result of none of the three candidates in the races for president and executive vice president receiving a majority of the votes cast during the July 30 ballot count in the 2024 NATCA National Election, a runoff election among the two candidates who received the most votes for each of those positions will commence this week.

Runoff ballots will be mailed to NATCA members’ home addresses today, Aug. 16. Runoff ballots must be returned to the National Election Committee (NEC)’s post office box in Washington, D.C., by 9 a.m. EDT on Oct. 4. The NEC will collect the runoff ballots from the post office box and conduct the runoff ballot count on that same day.

The candidates for president on the runoff ballot are Nick Daniels and Rich Santa.

The candidates for executive vice president on the runoff ballot are Mick Devine and Jamaal Haltom.

Any new member who joins NATCA on or before Sept. 18 will be mailed a runoff ballot. Any member who doesn’t receive a runoff ballot or needs a duplicate runoff ballot for any other reason can make a request for a duplicate runoff ballot by sending an email to [email protected] by Sept. 16. A request for a duplicate runoff ballot should include the member’s name, facility, and current home mailing address.

As we celebrate this special day, we want to take a moment to acknowledge the incredible dedication, skill, and commitment that you bring to your roles as air traffic controllers and mothers. We know that being an air traffic controller is a challenging job that requires focus, precision, and quick thinking, and we also know that being a mother is one of the most important and rewarding roles anyone can have. The fact that you are able to balance both of these roles with such grace and excellence is truly remarkable.

We understand that being an air traffic controller and a mother is not always easy, and we want you to know that we appreciate and admire all that you do. Whether you are managing busy airspace, raising children, or both, your contributions to our profession and our communities are invaluable.

As you celebrate this special day with your families, please know that you have our deepest respect and gratitude.
