Stewart’s Forest Products began as a family-owned business in 1971 to build wooden ammunition boxes for the US Government. As the need for small caliber munitions decreased in the late 1970s, SFP focused its efforts on manufacturing commercial wooden packaging along with the Government box line. SFP has been satisfying the need for good quality, inexpensive custom wood packaging ever since. In the
late 1990s SFP purchased a wood component processing facility to round out the product line and increase processing capabilities. Today all processing and assembly is conducted at one main manufacturing facility in Fort Ripley, MN, just a short drive north of the Twin Cities.
