This is a 56’ double wide we moved on site and placed on a basement just outside of Pierre. Things were a little tight for getting equipment in before the house was moved to its new spot. Midwest Construction and Development did the foundation and will be making significant improvements to the property. It could have been a little cooler this week. 🥵

Some old pictures that were given to me by Isaac Bowers from his parents. This house was moved in the late 90’s out of far western Pierre to about 20 miles east of town. It was known as the Kevin Costner house as he stayed there while he did the parts of Dances With Wolves that were filmed around here. This job was a collaboration with Telkamp House Moving from Brookings. You’ll see Allen Hof and Randy Telkamp along with my dad in the pictures.

We are finally setting the building we moved off its site in February. The inches upon inches of rain in the past couple weeks did not help. Mats, blocks, and a winch truck pulling were needed to get it driven on. 40’ x 120’ steel building.
