Concerning a “moment of silence,” — thinking, not speaking — each of us can think what he or she wants and to pause for a duration of one minute to remember those who have died in military service for us, in the United States and around the world.. And thus the goal of acknowledging that in G‑d we trust is achieved pleasantly and peacefully with these thoughts.
